Introducing the THRONE Foundation Collection

Foundation is built for the kilometres riders actually repeat.

Foundation is the beginning of THRONE's cycling system, not the bottom of it. It was created for riders who want daily kit to feel considered, durable and genuinely comfortable without paying for an inflated status signal.

Why Foundation exists

Foundation was created to solve a familiar problem. Riders could either buy low-cost kit that often lost shape, comfort or finish too quickly, or pay a large premium for a name before they had even worked out what they actually needed. THRONE wanted a third option: everyday cycling kit that feels considered, performs where it matters and keeps the price honest.

Internally, Foundation is described as THRONE's third proper market entry and the first designed to be repeatable. That matters. This is not a one-off colour drop or a product built only for launch week. It is intended to become the entry point to the wider THRONE system.

Who it is built for

Foundation is for Australian cyclists and endurance athletes who train consistently but do not need every ride to feel like a time trial. It is designed for bunch rides, endurance sessions, social kilometres, race preparation and the ordinary work between events. The documented audience runs from new riders through to experienced athletes who simply want dependable daily kit.

The fit is still performance-led. THRONE describes it as a clean endurance fit, refined between race and club, with a firm overall silhouette. It should sit close enough to stay stable on the bike without becoming a pure race-only garment.

The collection

The initial system is deliberately simple: men's and women's short-sleeve jerseys in Blue and Black, men's and women's black bib shorts, and a white unisex sock.

Product Colour Price
Jersey Blue / Black $70
Bib shorts Black $110
Socks White $20
Jersey + bibs Blue / Black $150
Full set Jersey + bibs + socks $160

The dedicated size guide runs from XXS to XXL and gives separate men's and women's measurements. When a rider falls between sizes, THRONE's guidance is clear: choose the smaller size for a snug performance fit and the larger size for a more relaxed fit.

Premium where it counts

Foundation is documented with Italian fabrics and moisture-wicking materials. The most important product decision is the chamois: THRONE states that Foundation uses the same chamois standard carried across the line rather than downgrading the contact point that determines whether a ride still feels good after ninety minutes.

The range does not need inflated technology language to make the point. It needs a stable fit, reliable fabric, a good chamois and construction that survives regular use.

Built through the lessons

Foundation also carries the lessons from earlier THRONE production. A previous bib issue exposed print under stretch, and the delay between pre-order and stock damaged launch momentum. Those experiences changed the operating standard: stronger opacity checks, clearer fit approval, factory-side QC and a launch built around product that is genuinely ready.

The colour plan changed for the same reason. White was held back from the first release because it is harder to keep looking premium and carries a higher risk of visible sweat, grime and complaints. Blue and Black became the locked opening colours. Restraint was a product decision, not a lack of ideas.

The Foundation role in THRONE

The THRONE range architecture is designed as progression. Foundation is the first purchase and the daily uniform. Valor and Valor² are the next step into core training and racing. Paragon sits at the sharper race-day end. Custom Studio carries the system into clubs, squads and community teams.

That does not make Foundation a lesser product. It gives it a clearer job. It is the kit you reach for repeatedly, the set that introduces someone to THRONE and the product that has to earn enough trust for the next purchase to make sense.

Your everyday kit, done properly

Foundation launches on Friday 9 October 2026. The campaign line says exactly what the product needs to prove: your everyday kit, done properly. No status tax. No false promise that an entry point should feel disposable. Just a straightforward cycling system built for the kilometres riders actually repeat.

THRONE does not need every rider to start at the top of the range. It needs the first product to be good enough that they want to keep moving through it. That is the job of Foundation.
