James Corbett is one of New Zealand’s most promising short course triathletes, known for his  aggressive racing style and front pack swim ability. Based in Tauranga and training between New Zealand and Australia, James has quickly built a reputation as a consistent performer across Oceania and Asia Cup racing.

His breakthrough moment came in 2024 when he delivered a dominant, front running performance to win the Asia Triathlon Cup in Tokyo, marking a major step forward in his international career.

Since then, James has continued to build momentum with strong results across elite racing, including a standout performance at the 2025 Oceania Championships in Devonport where he claimed silver in the elite race and gold in the U23 category.

Still early in his career, James is steadily climbing the world rankings and establishing himself as a serious contender in short course racing, with a focus on continued progression through World Triathlon Cup and Championship Series events.
